It's not just what we do. It's what we do differently.

Government Contracts Life Sciences

We Stay Ahead Of The Pack. Crowell & Moring's Government Contracts practice prides itself on its expertise in industries that either have not thought of themselves as government contractors or are emerging government contractors, such as the life sciences industry.

What We Do. In conjunction with the firm's Life Sciences practice, we provide a wide range of government contract expertise to biotech companies. For example, we often counsel clients on research and development efforts that involve federal money or facilities, including Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Other Transactions (OTs), and grants. And, we represent pharmaceutical companies and suppliers of medical products on issues, typically related to pricing, arising under their contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs. We also successfully defended the winner of a multimillion DOD contract for the development, licensing, and production of vaccine-the largest such procurement in history. Protest of Batelle Memorial Institute, B-278673, 98-1 CPD ¶ 107 (Feb. 27, 1998).

We Teach The Industry. Our government contract lawyers participate in many continuing education conferences and seminars related to life sciences. We also teach the "Concentrated Course In Biotechnology Government Contracting," sponsored twice yearly by Federal Publications LLC.
