We have extensive experience in advising companies on how to achieve compliance with EU law and in the implementation of global compliance projects in several countries.
In particular, we have seen an increase in the number of enquiries being made of corporations about their privacy and data protection practices.
The practical consequences of the privacy and data protection laws in the EU cannot be underestimated. In the Netherlands, for instance, the Dutch Privacy Commission has imposed on December 16, 2003, the first administrative fines to companies that have not registered their data processing practices with the Commission (fines ranging from 3.000 to 15.000 Euro).
We have set up a collaboration with prime law firms in Europe in order to help us when performing global compliance projects.
