International Energy Law - Peruvian Mining
We are counsel to a large multi-national company that is developing certain mining interests in Peru. Our work involves negotiating and documenting the transaction in which the holder of the mineral interests will transfer such interests to the company and receive certain royalty and other compensation. This matter includes the creation of appropriate subsidiary entities of the acquiring company so as to facilitate minimal liabilities and favorable US tax consequences.
