International Energy Law - Mexican Distribution Ventures
We have advised seven Mexican natural gas distribution companies, owned by three separate groups, with respect to the permitting of their distribution systems. This work has included the development of investment and business plans, rates, maximum revenue yield calculations, cost of capital, technical specifications for safety and maintenance, revenue requirements, and terms and conditions of service.
We have also advised two other Mexican distribution companies, owned by two other groups, as to the sale of an interest in one of the companies to a foreign investor and as to the particulars of a transportation service agreement under which the distributor would acquire its gas supply. In addition, we have advised three other consortia of companies in their efforts to obtain gas distribution rights through a public bidding with respect to specific municipalities in Mexico.
