Washington, D.C. – May 28, 2015: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce the addition of partner Lorraine Campos to the firm's Government Contracts Group. Campos joins the firm from Reed Smith LLP, where she was co-chair of that firm's Government Contracts and Grants practice.

"My colleague and friend Lorraine arrives to the firm at a time when our clients are facing challenges in complying with new federal rules and responding to government investigations and enforcement actions," said Angela Styles, Crowell & Moring chair and Government Contracts Group co-chair. "Her expertise in supply schedules and grants, particularly in the health care and pharmaceutical sectors, is a valuable addition to our group and complements the breadth and scope of our government contracts practice."

With nearly twenty years of experience in the government contracts space, Campos' practice focuses on various aspects of federal government contracts law, including counseling, compliance and internal investigations, defense of fraud actions, and contract administration issues. She has successfully worked with Fortune 100 clients and small businesses alike to defend against government inquiries, audits and investigations, and advise clients through the procurement process. Campos also regularly counsels clients on all aspects of the General Services Administration (GSA) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) programs and routinely advises clients on the terms and conditions of these agreements and ancillary state agreements, including the Price Reduction Clause, small business subcontracting requirements, and country of origin restrictions mandated under U.S. trade agreements, such as the Trade Agreements Act and the Buy American Act. Additionally, Campos advises life sciences companies, in particular pharmaceutical and medical device companies, on federal procurement and federal pricing statutes, including the Veterans Health Care Act of 1992. Prior to private practice, Campos developed expertise in procurement and other aspects of government contracting while working for a top-tier accounting and consulting firm on consulting projects with the intelligence community.

"Crowell & Moring's Government Contracts Group is unmatched in its depth and breadth, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues, many of whom I have known for years and hold in high regard," Campos said. "The firm's regulatory and litigation expertise across an array of industries and practice areas aligns with the needs of my clients in the government contracts space and beyond."

Selected as a Diversity Journal Woman Worth Watching for 2015, Campos is also ranked in the Nationwide Government Contracts category of Chambers USA 2015. She received her B.A. from Georgetown University and earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
