Crowell & Moring Government Contracts Sponsors Roundtable Discussion on Doing Business in Iraq

Washington, D.C. – April 20, 2004: Crowell & Moring LLP partner David Hammond will facilitate a May 5 roundtable discussion with with representatives from Private Security Contractors providing security services overseas under United States government contracts and subcontracts. The roundtable discussion will focus on risk mitigation strategies, export controls issues, the Department of Defense's recent proposed rule addressing certain contractual and assumption-of-risk issues for contractors supplying support personnel during military operations, future oversight of the PSC industry, the adoption of voluntary standards, and responding to adverse events. The roundtable will include participants from some of the leading PSC firms.
